Queen’s University Digital Design
Scope: various digital design projects — including motion design — for websites, campaigns and events.
Deliverables: videos, animated gifs and still graphics for web, email, zoom, and social media sites
Giving Tuesday Campaign
These graphics were created to post on social media to promote donations to Queen’s on Giving Tuesday. Since this was a 1-day campaign, there were 2 graphics created, one for the morning and one for the afternoon — the difference being the yellow and blue backgrounds. The graphic below, was posted the following day to say thank you.
Virtual Event Promotion
To promote this unique event — which included a 3D tour of a 13th century village in Sussex, that was reconstructed in a virtual environment based around an archaeological dig — I was to create a design concept and to apply it to multiple web and social items.
I brainstormed with the event lead on the title — where we decided that the time-travel idea was exciting and consistent to an opening element planned for the event.
After designing 3 concept directions, the following video shows the chosen one. It encompasses the high-tech nature of the material and travelling back in time with the triangle tunnel graphic.
Motion design — social media video
The two animated gifs above are shortened (and lighter file sizes) for email.
Website Motion Video
This concept motion design, is intended to be located at the top of the website, as a header video. It would play through once and hold on the last slide. The movements enhance the meaning of the words and inspire action.
National Philanthropy Day Campaign
The motion video above, was designed to stand out on social media feeds, especially on mobile devices — to thank donors. The animated gif below, was an email header banner and was designed in collaboration with a collogue who completed the email for the campaign.
